NOTE: As of Feb 28th, 2023 this feature is not yet live. This will be added in a future release.
With 'SK Virtual Visit' video sessions, participants can be invited to join by one of, a combination of, or all of the following methods:
- Dialed in by their phone number (access to audio only)
- Emailed the unique Join-In information which includes the video hyperlink, ID & passcode (access to video and audio)
- Dialed into a Telehealth endpoint using a SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) address (access to video and audio).
Regardless of whether they are accessing a 'Meet Now' meeting or a Patient Consultation, the process for adding a SIP Address into an existing video call is the same.
Step 1 - Start the video chat. Once it is active, the host healthcare provider clicks 'Dial In' on the bottom bar of the video window.
Note: If the healthcare provider is at a SIP Address location and not entering the video as the host, their support staff will have to enter the video and dial them in via their SIP Address.
Step 2 - On the 'Dial In Participant To Video Chat' screen, enter a 'Display Name', that clearly identifies the person/group you are dialing in. (Once they enter the video chat, this name will show up in your list of participants and will be visible to other participants.)
Step 3 - Click 'SIP Address' to find the proper location.
Step 4 - Either,
- click into the blank field to scroll down and select the right location, OR
- start typing to narrow down the list further
Step 5 - Once you have found the location you would like to dial in, select it, then click 'Dial In Now'.
When the person on the other end answers, they will be connected to your Video Chat and will show up in your 'Participants' list with the name that you entered for them.
If there are two or more different Telehealth locations to dial in, they will have to be dialed in one at a time.
If a SIP participant is disconnected from the video call, they are unable to dial back in. The video host must add them back into the video call again, following the above instructions.
When the video meeting ends, the host (either healthcare provider or their support staff) must 'End Call For All'.
